We comply with occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines at all our construction sites. Occupational health and safety are an essential part of our values and daily operations.
We aim to provide a healthy and safe working environment
We promote well-being and strive to provide a safe and healthy working and living environment for our personnel, partners, customers, and other stakeholders. Together, we can continuously improve and develop our health and safety practices.
We also require our subcontractors and supply chain partners to comply with our health and safety practices.
Requirements on all YIT sites
On this site we’ve gathered health and safety principles together with other critical instructions we expect everyone – our own employees and our partners alike – to follow.
Let’s look after each other!
Appropriate, task-specific, and well-fitting personal protective equipment and protective clothing are a fundamental requirement for safe and effective work. The minimum required equipment on our construction sites is described below. Additional protective equipment must always be used according to the hazards and exposures of the task.
Protective equipment must fit the user properly and be suitable for the task. For example, when chiseling, using an angle grinder, or drilling overhead, we require sealed safety goggles instead of standard open safety glasses.
Visitors must always be accompanied on site and wear protective equipment in accordance with site instructions.
Minimum protective equipment is a prerequisite for access to the construction site. Each contractor shall procure the equipment of its own personnel.
